Professional Skills – II – DGSV e.V.
in accordance with the applicable Qualification Guidelines and Examination Regulations of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sterilgutversorgung e.V. (German Society for Sterile Supply) provides relevant knowledge and skills required for the reprocessing of medical devices in compliance with the German Medical Devices Operator Ordinance (MPBetreibV).

Target group:
The course enables shift supervisors, assistant managers and small unit managers to make autonomous decisions within their powers.

Admission requirements:
Successful completion of Professional Skills I in accordance with the Qualification Guidelines of DGSV, along with 6 months’ experience in a reprocessing unit.

Examination Regulations:
Requires proof of internship assignments during the course, providing experience in anesthesia, intensive care and surgery, in endoscopy/inpatient care, and in hygiene/technical service. Completion of a practical task, with relevant report as part of the course. The report is a requirement for admission to the Professional Skills II examination. The course finishes with a written and an oral examination on practical modules.

1. Professional Skills I Certificate from a DGSV/SGSV-approved training facility or MA/DA Expertise Certificate from a DGSV/SGSV-approved training facility
2. Proof of work in a RUMED/CSSD for flexible endoscopes or proof of endoscopy internship

Qualification in a health profession. Practical experience in reprocessing medical devices. We can also support you in tailored subjects (hygiene, medical instrumentation, packaging systems, etc.) and offer beginners’ and refresher courses in medical devices reprocessing.
