As part of its focusing and targeting strategy, the Swiss-German company has been operating under its new name VITRUVIA MEDICAL AG since October 8, 2020. The specific add-on to its name provides clarity about the company’s focus on the medical sector and positions it unmistakably in the health industry. This move was unanimously approved at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on September 25, 2020.

Vitruvia is the first European service provider to specialize in circular systems for robotic instruments. On a site of 2,000 sqm located in Schönebeck, near Magdeburg, Vitruvia is currently establishing an innovative Circular Clinic Supply Center for robotic instruments. The center will be used as a reprocessing site for medical devices, ensuring professional and quality-assured decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, testing and preparation for reuse.

The project received funding support of EUR 717,000.00 under the Joint Task for the “Improvement of the Regional Economic Structure” (GRW) and from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
